Additional Notes:
- After 24 hours, foods that can be cut with a fork are okay
- Have your child rinse their mouth with warm saltwater after 24 hours
- If your child’s mouth is bleeding excessively, place a gauze pad over the area and have them bite it for 30 minutes. If the bleeding persists, swap the gauze for a moist tea bag, which contains tannic acid that can assist in the formation of blood clots. Have your child also sit up straight and make sure they stay away from strenuous activity, such as exercise. If the bleeding doesn’t stop, please contact our office.
